What kind of computer is required? What about my Internet connection? Any special requirements? Do I need any special software? Do I need any other special equipment for my computer? Is there anything else I can do to make sure everything works on my computer? What kind of computer is required? PC and Mac computers and all operating systems work equally well for MyGuitar247.com lessons and services. We have designed our online lessons and services with every effort to enable you to enjoy the experience, regardless of which computer or operating system you use! Back to top What about my Internet connection? Any special requirements? Because one of the key features of every MyGuitar247.com lesson is a video streamed to your computer, you will need a broadband internet connection. We have made every effort to streamline the delivery requirements for our lessons and services. Your experience will be a "feast-loading" one. We have used the parameters of the basic plans of most Internet Service Provders (ISPs) for our designs and development so that our members do not have to acquire special connection packages. You probably already have everything you need installed on your computer - and anything you don't have yet is available online... for FREE!
Back to top Do I need any other special equipment for my computer? No! However, we do recommend a quality set of speakers and headphones for our members to optimize their enjoyment of our services. Your computer's built-in speakers will work fine. However, if you want to assure the best possible experience, it may be worth the investment required to add a quality set of speakers to your system. Additionally, for those times when you want to focus on your lessons and avoid interruptions, a good set of head phones will be ideal. Back to top Is there anything else I can do to make sure everything works on my computer? Yes! And this is important! Internet browsers often store website pages and images in the cache of your hard drive. This can create a situation where you will not see the newest versions and updates of our lessons, and perhaps not see the newest lessons and products we are offering on our members-only site. We highly recommend clearing or cleaning your system's cache and cookies on a regular basis, and also setting your browser's preferences and/or options so always download the newest version of our site.
