My Guitar 24/7 - The Online Solution for Learning Guitar!

Our experience combines over four decades of guitar and music instruction with doctoral-level, state-of-the-art instructional design for online learning.  We’ve drawn on our backgrounds in guitar playing, education, professional music performance, learning theory, and guitar instruction to provide a unique and powerful learning atmosphere.  With President & Founder, Randy Lee Vradenburg, as teacher and “headmaster,” his numerous professional colleagues as visiting guitar instructors, and our instructional designer with a PhD background in virtual learning, we’ve developed our service to assure that you experience learning success, enjoyment, and guitar mastery.

Before founding his own professional “on-land” teaching studio, MyGuitar24/7, in Southlake, Texas, in 2006, Randy taught guitar for many years in many venues throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

He co-authored Scales Over Chords and Everything About Playing Blues, published by American Music Sales Corp. and sold by Amazon.com, Guitar Center, Borders Books and Walden Books throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Remaining committed to the importance that music teachers should be able to “walk the talk,” Randy currently performs with his own band, Bottom Line Group, which plays ’80s rock, jazz, disco, blues, country and oldies. The group performs at a wide variety of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, outdoor concerts, backyard parties and special events.

Rees Davies, Guitar Instructor

Dallas-based guitarist Rees Davies began playing at age 9, inspired by the music of Buddy Holly and Richie Valens. At 12, he began studying classical guitar with Jan Ryberg. He studied jazz at the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, continued classical and flamenco lessons with Miguel Antonio, and honed his performance skills in Dallas’ Deep Ellum area with the funk/rock of the Otis Lovejoy Band.  After five years of performing and recording with various rock groups, Rhys was accepted into Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School for the Arts on a guitar performance scholarship, where he studied with the American master Robert Guthrie and graduated in 2007.

Rees now teaches at MyGuitar24/7 Teaching Studio in Southlake and performs in many styles throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has appeared many times with the award-winning Meadows Guitar Ensemble at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas and has contributed to professional theatrical productions as a composer and performer.

Rodney Bollinger, Guitar Instructor

A native Texan, Rod grew up with all kinds of music around.  He started playing guitar at age 9 and trombone at age 13. Rod also enjoys playing lap steel, piano, bass and harmonica. He attended the famed NTSU (now UNT) and became a professional musician at age 20. He has now been a successful teacher of guitar for over 25 years. He has been in several bands over the years and has also subbed with many leading groups. Performing music and entertaining has taken Rod many places around the country and the globe. Some of the bands Rod has had the pleasure of performing with over the years include The Platters,Ray Sharpe, The Party Crashers, Me & My Monkey “The Beatles Tribute,” George Anderson Signature Band, Studio 54, Dash Riprock and the Dragons, The Kahunas, Nancy Star Jazz Quartet, The National Secrets, The Glitter Rose Band, Robert Ealey, and The Sidemen.  In addition, Rod has played with the Resident Bands on the North Texas BELO Show “6:30 on 8,” groups that include The Shades, The Ideals, The Waltons, Hartsspur, Capricorn, The Comatones, Peter and Gordon, Denny Laine, Stymie, and The Vintage Vibes. Jeffrey L Walter, PhD, Instructional Designer

Dr. Walter is President & Founder of Vir2Novations, a company which provides online and hybrid learning solutions with a focus on customized musical designs incorporated into multimedia instruction and training environments, and also provides consultation services for arts education administration and management.  Dr. Walter has over 20 years teaching and administrative experience in higher education, serving as a Music and Humanities Professor, Department Chair and Dean of Visual & Performing Arts at a private liberal arts university, and as a Dean of Fine Arts for one of the largest public college districts in the state of Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Performance, a Master of Music in Conducting, a PhD in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning, and has completed postgraduate study in interdisciplinary studies, philosophy, and humanities.

As a musician and conductor, Dr. Walter has toured with ensembles through the United States, South America, Canada and Russia, and has served as an adjudicator of national and international music festivals since 1987. Dr. Walter also has extensive and wide-ranging experience in arts administration, having served as the Artistic Director and CEO of non-profit arts education organizations, and as Managing/Executive Director of professional performing ensembles.
